Matthew 7:13-14 Unisex T-shirt
Matthew 7:13-14 is part of the famous first sermon, the Sermon on the Mount, given by Jesus after He started His earthly ministry. In this passage, Jesus explains that in life, we are either on the straight and narrow path or we are on the wide and broad path. With the straight and narrow, it is not going to be easy, but it leads to life; while the wide and broad is an easy one to be on, but leads to death. As Christians, we are not supposed to be compromising or conforming to the culture because Christianity is supposed to be the opposite of the worldly culture. When someone professes to be Christian and they are true and sincere about it, they will be facing opposition and the way in which the opposition is dealt with determines if the person is Christian by word only or by action as well. Someone might be on a path in which they keep their eyes on the LORD, but if they begin to do any type of compromise, they fall off the straight and narrow to go onto the wide and broad path. The imagery used here has the straight and narrow looking like a tightrope, while the wide and broad has no obstacles and it is easy to walk across. When we claim to be Christians, we need to adhere to the truth in which we profess to believe in the face of adversity and we need to be willing to suffer for the sake of the Gospel as James talks about at the beginning of his epistle. Which path are you on?
